India's First Park Hyatt Hotel in Hyderabad

International luxury hotel chain, Hyatt Hotels, launched Park Hyatt Hyderabad, the first Park Hyatt Hotel in India, here on Sunday. The eight-storeyed hotel, one of the 25 Park Hyatt hotels in the world, has 185 guest rooms, 24 suites and 42 service apartments. The Rs 700-crore hotel was designed by renowned architects John Portman & Associates. It is promoted by city-based Gayatri Group owned by Congress MP T Subbarami Reddy.

 

Speaking at the inaugural, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said there was a need for 8,000 more rooms of international standards as three major international conferences were being hosted this year in Hyderabad.

The launch of the hotel was graced by a galaxy of dignitaries who included seven Union ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kamal Nath, Vilasrao Deshmukh, S.Jaipal Reddy, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Praful Patel and Subodh Kant Sahayi _ a few state ministers, Bollywood stars Hema Malini, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Yash Chopra, Tollywood actors Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Chiranjeevi, Brahmanandam, industrialists and social icons.

With signature restaurants specialised in Italian, Asian, Indian and other cuisines, the hotel also has world-class spa, gym, swimming pool, ballroom and three-level parking in the basement. Each room of the hotel reflects Hyderabadi ethos. “One of the rooms has a portrait of superstar Chiranjeevi,” said Pinky Reddy, daughter of Subbarami Reddy.
