Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's stance on Jagan Mohan Reddy changed! Jagan is no more a 'corrupt', but an inexperienced politician. With Congress party's 'corrupt-Jagan' plank failing to strike a chord with the Kadapa electorate, the CM is obviously trying to impress upon the voters that Jagan Mohan Reddy lacks experience to become chief minister of a State. At the same time, Kiran Kumar Reddy is also trying to project Pulivendula nominee, Mr Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, as the "real political heir" of late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, told crowds at Proddatur, Pulivendula and Kadapa that Mr Vivekananda Reddy was the "true inheritor" of YSR's political legacy in his family. The venue of the public meeting in Pulivendula was just a few kilometres away from the YSR estate and the CM took the opportunity to talk of YSR's legacy and his unfulfilled dreams. Incidentally, the venue "Shilparamam" was an unfinished project of YSR, who wanted to turn this sprawling barren piece of land into an international village of arts and crafts. Bushes and weeds have come up on lands earmarked for industrial and service projects. Mr Kiran tried to convince the people that only Mr Vivekananda would be able to take up the challenge and complete the works left by late Rajasekhar Reddy.

Taking potshots at Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CM wondered how a politician with just a few months of experience dream of occupying the CM's gaddi. "YSR had to wait for 25 years. The CM's post came my way after I spent 20 years in politics. Mr Jagan is hardly a few months into politics when YSR had passed away, and yet he set his eyes on the coveted post," he said. Earlier, the CM held a closed door meeting with senior leaders and ministers to finalize the strategy to win the crucial bypolls.
