The TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is planning to use the controversial GO 177, prohibiting strikes by government employees, to revive the Telangana agitation. The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) on Tuesday announced that it would intensify the agitation for a separate state from May, after all public exams are over, and also sought immediate withdrawal of GO 177.

Sources told that KCR held a discussion with the Telangana Joint Action Committee convener, Professor M. Kodandaram, and chalked out an action plan to revive the movement. The decision of the TJAC to call off the non-cooperation movement abruptly because it said it did not want to disrupt ongoing examinations, created a rift between the workers’ unions and the TJAC convener.
