Betting on Jagan Victory Margin in Kadapa Bypolls

After the world cup cricket betting fever, now the heat turns to betting on Jagan's victory margin in Kadapa bypolls. At least Rs 100 crore is at stake over the "victory margin" of the YSR Congress nominee, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. Political activists from East and West Godavari, Hyderabad, Krishna and Guntur districts are involved in the betting activity. While some have bet luxury cars valued up to Rs 25 lakh, others have offered utility items like costly cellphones, fridges and air conditioners. Hotels, lodges and guesthouses, where political leaders and workers from these districts are put up, have become impromptu betting dens.
With the poll campaign closing today and just a day left for the polling to commence, it's a foregone conclusion that Jagan would emerge as victorious in Kadapa. Now the betting is all centered on 'with how much victory margin he is going to win'. The victory margin for Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is being projected between 50,000 and 3,00,000 and as the victory margin goes up, so does the value of the bet.
