Jagan Assets Case: CBI Questions Srilakshmi in Jail

CBI sleuths have questioned the suspended and jailed IAS officer Srilakshmi in the Chanchalguda Jail, in connection with the illegal assets case against Kadapa MP and YSR Congress party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. It may be mentioned here that the CBI recently obtained permission of the CBI Special Judge’s Court to question Srilakshmi arrested in Obulapuram Mining irregularities case, in connection with Jagan assets case also. The CBI also obtained permission from the court to question V D Raja Gopal, another accused in the OMC case, in the jail.
Meanwhile, the Chanchalguda jail authorities have shifted Srinivasa Reddy, also arrested in the OMC case, to the Osmania General Hospital, following indisposition.
In a related development, the CBI court extended the remand of Vijaya Sai Reddy, who was arrested in Jagan assets case to Saturday.
In the Emaar Properties case, the CBI court granted bail to Thummala Ranga Rao, former IAS officer K V Rao and Srikant Joshi. The court has directed both K V Rao and Srikant Joshi to furnish bonds of Rs 25,000 each for granting bail. The court has already granted anticipatory bail to Thummala Ranga Rao, former director of Stylish Homes, who turned an approver.
The CBI Court has extended the remand of Koneru Prasad, accused in the Emaar Properties case to April 13. The court also extended the remand of Sunil Reddy, Vijaya Raghava and senior IAS officer B P Acharya till April 13.
