The CBI has intensified its probe into Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's illegal assets case on Monday. Representatives of Hetero group told the CBI that no projects had been awarded to the company that invested Rs 4.5 crore in Mr Jagan's companies. The company, however, has applied for allotment of 75 acres of land on lease for a period of 33 years by the APIIC at Polepally village in Mahbubnagar in SEZ.
Meanwhile, CBI officials for the second day visited Mr Jagan’s houses at Lotus Pond and at Sagar Society to continue their assessment, besides banks where Mr Jagan has accounts to scrutinise the transactions. CBI has collected evidence from mines director Sushil Kumar in connection with the mine leases. Elsewhere, the CBI told a court that it has no objection in furnishing the documents it had seized from the residence of Mr Jagan to I-T officials from Bengaluru.
When Mr Jagan’s counsel Ashok Reddy objected to any orders being passed on the petition without the MP being given notice, the court directed the I-T officials to serve the notice and posted the case to Oct. 28. Meanwhile, the National Remote Sensing Centre denied the reports that it is associated with the CBI in the probe. NRSC said that its officials went to Mr Jagan's house with a contractor. The media waiting there mistook the NRSC officials’ presence and reported that the house was being scanned by satellites.
