What Are Your Plans This Friendship Day?

Its time to tell your friends how special they are to you. Its Friendship Day! Started in the United States by the Congress, it soon spread like wild fire to the rest of the world. Although there need not be a specific day for this, the first Sunday of every August is seen as a day to strengthen the bond between friends.

This day gained such an importance with the youth around the world, that the United Nations found it necessary to appoint a brand ambassador of Friendship. So, in the year 1997, Winnie - The Poo was declared as the ambassador of friendship. Interestingly, there’s not only a Friendship Day, but also a Friendship Week and a Friendship Month.

The month of February is chosen to observe the Friendship Month. After all one day is just not enough to tell your friends how much you love them. There are many ways to spend an amazing day with your best friends. A sleepover with friends with some music, yummy food and endless fun is always a popular idea on Friendship Day.

Don’t forget to get some of your favorite movies to watch with your food. If bringing food from outside does not sound exciting, try cooking this Friendship Day. You and your friends can create a unique dish that you are all proud of.

Nothing else can express your feelings better than some good songs. Arrange for karaoke and sing the night away. Don’t be shy, because you know that your friends will never judge you. Be yourself while you explore new dimensions of your friendship.

Take countless pictures to capture every moment of this special day. There is no better gift to your friends than a day well spent with them. Not everyone is lucky to find good friends so cherish them forever and enjoy every moment of this special relationship. Happy Friendship Day people!
