Emaar Scam: BP Acharya Lands in Chanchalguda Jail

The CBI Special Court in Nampally today remanded the main accused in Emaar-APIIC scam, senior IAS officer BP Acharya to judicial remand till 15 February. The Special Court judge Naga Maruthi Sarma, ordered the remand when CBI officials produced Acharya before the court after the end of his 2-day custody. Video Source: tv9
On the court's directions, Acharya was shifted to the Chanchalguda Central Jail. Acharya, the main accused in the scam, was discharged from the Nizam's Institute Of Medical Sciences on Wednesday night. He was admitted to NIMS after he complained of chest pain. He has been allotted with 3722 UT number in Chanchalguda jail. Keeping in view Acharya's health condition, he will be temporarily lodged in the hospital barrack and later will be shifted to ordinary cell, told the jail authorities.
