Explosion in Car Park of Delhi High Court

New Delhi: A minor explosion took place on Wednesday afternoon in the car parking outside Gate No. 7 of Delhi High Court. Sources say that the explosion took place inside a plastic bag next to a car parked outside the High Court and police confirmed that it was not an accident. The bag contained some red and brown materials, which may be explosive materials and smelled like gun powder, and also iron nails were there inside the plastic bag, said an eyewitness. "Some kind of crude material found near the car," said Delhi Police sources. Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot. But there were no reports of any casualty and police are yet to confirm if the explosion was a bomb blast. "We are examining into the causes of explosion outside the Delhi High court. It looks like a car radiator malfunction," said Home Ministry sources.
