At last the day has been fixed for the Praja Rajyam Party to merge with Congress. While PRP chief Chiranjeevi is becoming a Congress member on 20 August at Delhi, his party members would follow suit at Gandhi Bhavan, Hyderabad on 22nd. Remember, at the launch of the party three years ago, Chiranjeevi bragged about bringing 'maarpu' in the State. We wonder, what 'maarpu' was Chiranjeevi talking about!
The accusations of his close associates are that "dilli gallilo party ni kilo la lekkana ammesaadu", is perhaps the 'maarpu' he was speaking about. It was late N T Ramarao, who 'Created History' by switching over to politics from the silver screen, but Chiranjeevi, who tried to emulate him, just became a part of 'History'.
