Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to file a vacation petition in the High Court on Monday(November 28) seeking suspension of HC order for a CBI probe into his assets. Meanwhile, CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana personally went to the AP High Court on Friday and took the copies of the petition filed by YSR Congress honorary president YS Vijayamma. Initially, Naidu did not want to move the court challenging the HC order for a CBI probe into his assets.

But after the SC gave some respite that Naidu and other respondents could approach the High Court on the petition filed by Vijayamma, TDP leaders Nama Nageswara Rao and CM Ramesh filed vacation petitions in the HC on Friday. Naidu, his wife Bhuvaneswari and son Lokesh may also move the HC on Monday. Naidu who held a meeting with TDP seniors at his residence, decided to file a petition in the court. “The SC gave us an opportunity to present our case before the High Court. That is why Naidu wanted to file a petition,” a TDP senior said. TDP leaders are confident that Naidu and others would get more relief once the HC heard their arguments. The CBI which collected the copies of Vijayamma’s petition, is set to begin the probe into Naidu’s assets.
