Actor Balakrishna arrived in Hindupur to file his nomination papers amidst much fanfare. Accompanied by his wife Vasundhara and daughters Brahmani and Tejaswini and son-in-law, he first offered prayers at the Suguru Anjaneya Swamy temple.Nara Lokesh is currently campaigning for the TDP and could not be present for the nomination event. Balakrishna will go in a rally to file his nomination papers at Anantapur.

Hindupur which has been a TDP stronghold since 1984 has welcomed him with open arms and there is nothing left for him to do except wave and probably deliver a few of his legendary lines which are a sure to be a hit with the crowd. Incidentally this was the same place from where N T Rama Rao also contested and won and following in his footsteps Balakrishna could also win with the same majority. He will take on Congress contestant Venkatramudu who is a new comer and by the looks of it is clear as to who the winner is.
