Dinesh Reddy Gets Pat on The Back From PM

The Director General of AP Police V Dinesh Reddy was surprised last week when he attended the DGPs meet at Delhi. The reason for his pleasant surprise was Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who congratulated him in the meet.
As is customary, the DGPs are introduced to the Prime Minister in the meeting. This time, the IB director Nehachal Sandhu introduced all DGPs to the Prime Minister. After shaking hands with Dinesh, the PM said "You are doing good work. Keep it up. I have heard about you." Even as Sandhu's eyes popped out, Dinesh was left wondering whether his repuation had preceeded him. The observers feel that it could have been about the excellent work done by Dinesh as vigilance and enforcement chief that is helping the CBI in the Emaar-APIIC case. The PM apparently was briefed about this at a briefing by his aides.
