Anna Hazare Recovering: To be Discharged on Sunday

Social activist Anna Hazare, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pune, is gradually recovering. The doctor attending to him said that Hazare will be discharged on Sunday morning. "He is responding well to the treatment and his condition is improving," said the doctors at Pune's Sancheti Hospital. Anna Hazare, 74, was rushed to the hospital in Pune from his village Ralegan Siddhi just before December 31 midnight for treatment. He is also suffering from osteosporosis, a disease of the bones. Doctors have advised Hazare one month's rest, following which he cancelled his plan to campaign against the Congress in the forthcoming assembly polls in five states.
