Saif and his family had ensured that the impact of their royal lineage was not missed in the party which took place on Aurangzeb road in Delhi. The venue, an old property of the Pataudis was decorated in rich cream and royal maroon and the entire place looked like an extension of a rich royal durbar. Delhi saw the presence of several high profile guests. Besides Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, politicos Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Arun Jaitley, Sitaram Yechury, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Amar Singh and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda were also spotted. Former cricketer Kapil Dev, maestro Amjad Ali Khan, designer Ritu Kumar, actress Nandita Das and the reception was also attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's wife Gursharan Kaur.
