Awesome benefits of Vaseline
In 1859, a young chemist named Robert Chesebrough found the wax at oil rigs to be quite interesting. He made further research on the wax and obtained a patent for the wax under the name Vaseline. Since then, Vaseline has become a generic name for Petroleum Jelly.
Vaseline has been an instant hit as a moisturiser as it quickly melts on the body... and it is devoid of any taste or smell. But if you are bit innovative, you can find many other uses of Vaseline too. Let’s watch some of them...
Cracked Heels: Due to continuous walking and harsh soles, the skin on our heels may develop cracks. Cracked heels are not only uncomfortable, but may also be painful. People might even feel inferior to display their cracked heels. Vaseline retains and regains the moisture needed to heal the heels.
Shiny nails: If you love to have shiny nails but hate to polish them frequently... Vaseline could be the answer. And that’s not the end of the idea. Applying Vaseline on the nails would moisten the lower part of your nails called- Cuticles! Vaseline would also provide needed moisture to the skin around the nails.
Body Scrub: We often hear about removing the flakes of dead skin over our lips and body to make them shine and look healthy. Beauticians suggest mixing Vaseline with sugar to scrub our lips. And to scrub the body parts... Vaseline should be mixed with salt.
Eyebrows: How often we look at the mirror and hope that our eyebrows should have been straight. A dab of Vaseline can do it for you. Applying some Vaseline would not only keep them at place, but would also make them appear shiny.
Rings and Earrings: Inserting earrings can often be painful... if we don’t wear them often. Rubbing our lobes and the earrings with Vaseline can make the procedure painless. The same tip can be applied to wear the finger rings which are a bit stiff.
Smooth Elbows: The skin at the elbows often gets roughed while working. As the years pass by, we could find the skin at the elbows getting coarse and black. Applying Vaseline often to the elbows and knees would soften the skin and let it be radiant forever.
And these were not just all! Vaseline can used for instant sunscreen lotion, skin highlighter, preventing the hair splits, avoiding the rashes, curing minor bruises... and what not! Use it and you would love it!
