People of the AP state may be quite pleased to hear the World Bank granting second place to the state in the country for ease of doing business. Obviously, the credit is attributed to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who made this possible despite all odds. But, the main opposition leader of the state Jagan Mohan Reddy argues that Chandrababu Naidu is bluffing the people. He is boasting that the World Bank gave this ranking after seeing his government’s efficiency.
Speaking to students at Port Stadium at Vizag on Tuesday Jagan Mohan Reddy said “It is a fine example to understand how Chandrababu Naidu bluffs the people. World Bank decides ranks to the states based on the information given by the governments about various measures taken by them in labor reforms. Based on the reports submitted by the representatives of World Bank, Central Industries Ministry and CII, World Bank decides the ranks for the states. Generally, Chief Ministers of other states hesitate to sign the questionnaire submitted by the representatives. But, Chandrababu Naidu has signed it with his both hands. So, the World Bank grants second rank to AP state. Chandrababu Naidu is claiming that World Bank has given second rank to the state seeing his government’s efficiency,” said Jagan Mohan Reddy.
