The High Court has granted bail to TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, Sebastian and Uday Simha, who were accused in the note-for-vote case. Telangana Advocate General Ramakrishna Reddy has strongly objected granting bail to the accused, but the High Court disagreeing with his arguments has granted conditional bail to the accused.
Revanth Reddy was asked to submit a security bond worth Rs. 5 lakhs for bail. He was asked to surrender his passport to the court and not to step out of Hyderabad and his Kodangal constituencies. He was asked to cooperate with the investigating officers in this case. Hence, Revanth Reddy and other two will be released from jail today after the jail officials receive the court order copy.
TDP cadres, Revanth Reddy followers and relatives are already reaching Charlapalli jail in huge number to give him a rousing welcome. Revanth Reddy was in custody since last one month and the ACB court has extended his custody till July 13th just yesterday itself. However, fortunately Revanth Reddy and other two accused secured bail today from the High Court. If, the ACB has any objections on his bail, then it has to file a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the high court decision.
