On behalf of the Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC) , recently a survey is conducted in DFW based Asian American community to have direct flights to India via Gulf. Thousands of people who have participated and showed their strong support to have direct flights from Dallas Fort Worth air port to India. Emirates heard this unified voice and starting the DFW-Dubai-India flights from February, 02, 2012.

Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, unveiled major new expansion plans for the United States today, announcing new service to Dallas/Fort Worth. Starting 2nd February 2012 , EK 221 will leave Dubai daily at 02:45hrs, arriving at Dallas/Fort Worth , Texas at 09:05hrs. The return sector, EK 222, leaves Dallas at 11:50hrs, arriving at Dubai International Airport at 12:20hrs the following day. Bookings have been started already and people can book their tickets now.
