Cabinet passes ordinance on Polavaram

Even while TRS is strongly opposing merger of seven mandals of Kammam district with residuary Andhra Pradesh state, which submerges under Polavaram project, Modi cabinet has passed the ordinance for the same in yesterday’s meeting. However, BJP has not disclosed this in its press meet held yesterday. Hence, TRS president KCR has appealed President Pranab Mukharji not to approve the ordinance. However, there were reports that he has already signed the ordinance. Therefore, KCR has given Telangana bandh call for tomorrow. He appealed all the comme1rcial organizations to observe bandh in protest against the ordinance. Harish rao has already warned that TRS will knock Supreme Court doors challenging the ordinance.
