HYDERABAD: A Drone Corporation has been planned to set up by the government of Andhra Pradesh under the name ‘Board 4.0’. The cabinet meet that has been scheduled at Vijayawada on Thursday will be taking a decision on the matter. The government of the state will be allotting RS 50 Crore as corpus for the board, which would have a chief executive officer and other staff. Drone cameras, CCTVs, and required software and hardware will be purchased by the board. The state will be using the drones to study the position of the crop as well as the water levels in reservoirs and will be supplying them on a rental basis for some private functions so as to regulate their usage.
