NTPC to set-up 4000 MW Power Plant at Vizag

 As a part of industrial and power sector development plan, AP state government has issued a GO: MS96 on Thursday to APIIC to allot 1200 acres of land to NTPC at Pudimadaka village in Atchuthapuram mandal in Visakha district for setting-up (5x800MW)4000 MW Thermal Power Plant. NTPC has offered to set-up 4000 MW power plant with an estimated cost of Rs.20,000 crores here. Already there are 2,000 MW Simhadri Thermal Power Plant and 1,040 MW Hinduja National Power Corporation Ltd in this area. This new plant would be the third power plant here. If, everything goes smooth as planned, this new project may be ready for commissioning in 2019. If, this plant also becomes operational it will be a blessing for the state.
