Land acquisition in capital region soon

Land acquisition process for capital city construction will be started from 14th May, said the additional advocate general of the AP state D Srinivas to the High Court on Friday. He said there is no scope for retuning the consent letters given to the CRDA by the farmers. However, since the farmers are insisting to return the consent letters, AP government will give a notification for land acquisition in the capital city zone on May 14th, he said.

But, the minister for agriculture Prattipati Pulla Rao has stated that the state government will start the land acquisition process only after receiving the master plan from the Singapore agencies. He said some political parties are provoking the farmers to go to court opposing land acquisition and creating hurdles for capital city construction. He said that he or someone from the state government will brief Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan, who is also opposing land acquisition using the Act.

Since, the state government is expecting to get the master plan from Singapore agencies anytime in this month it may start land acquisition process in this month itself. State government may consult the High Court before initializing the land acquisition process to avoid any legal problems in the process.
