American Telugu Association (ATA) has held ATA Summer Fest 2013its 1st Summer Feston Jun 16th at Thompson Park, NewJersey USA. More than one thousand adults and children from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and Connecticut attended the Fest. There was an overwhelming response from youth and seniors alike.
Weather was perfect. Everyone enjoyed fun filled activities including games for children, adults and various cultural programs
The Summer Fest was attended by many community leaders from various organizations and New Jersey Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, Cine music writer and director Vaddepalli Krishna, ATA President Elect Sudhakar Perkari, Past President Rajendar Jinna. Many attendees praised ATA Team for their efforts for conducting such a big event in the park with all amenities of large auditorium.
The Fest started with tattooing and face painting for kids, then games for Kids and Adults. Large number of teams played volleyball. TechNeuman team emerged as the Champion.
All Adults and kids were participated in Games. Kids participated in Running Race (different age groups) and Lemon and spoon. Ladies participated in Lemon and spoon.
Tug of war was another attracting game and every one participated and it was really a big fun and every one enjoyed. All participants divided into 3 groups, Kids, ladies and gents. Each group was divided into two groups and war was in between these groups. All the games were well organized by Jamuna Puskur, Madhavi Aruva, Bhanu Maganti, Vijaya Thumula and ATA volunteers.
Throughout the event, there were many amazing performances by children. Melodious songs by Ujwala Chinni, Krishna, Lalitha Rani, classical, folk, tollywood and bollywood dances by kids and from various dance schools, bhangra dance by Pratik and his team brought lightening excitement in the crowd and got a huge applause!
Parmesh Bheemreddy, Convener, addressed the gathering and talked about the upcoming 13th ATA Conference and Youth Convention in Philadelphia in July 2014 and appealed to all attendees to enroll as ATA members. He introduced all the leaders of ATA Team to attendees.
ATA Organizing committee expressed their thanks to all their supporters who made this event a grand success. Also they thanked Suresh Jilla for Photography and Anil Akula for DJ Services.
