Crowd chants Modi's name as Rahul Gandhi enters..

India's Vijender Singh's WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Championship title bout was held on Saturday night and it was attended by who's who of the entertainment industry, sports and politics as well. Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, cricketers Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, actor Randeep Hooda and Olympic winner and boxer Mary Kom were all cheering on for Vijender along with the crowd.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was on Saturday booed by the crowd at the Thyagaraj stadium where he had come to watch. Modi chants were all out loud in the stadium when Rahul Gandhi entered, but Rahul Gandhi did not react much to it and was silent spectator. The 46-year-old, who sat beside IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla, had a similar experience when he walked out of the stadium after the end of the title clash which Vijender won after beating Australia's Kerry Hopes here.

The 30-year-old dasher clinched his seventh straight win and the Super Middleweight title by outlasting former WBC European champion Kerry Hope in a 10-round contest. The victory took him to the 15th spot in the WBO rankings and he will have to defend his title in the next two months.
