TDP reacts on smugglers’ encounter

Finally, the ruling TDP leaders of the AP state have managed to overcome the embarrassing situation arises out of the encounter of 20 red sander smugglers.

Party senior leader Gali Muddhu Krishnam Naidu said “I hope the Tamilnadu government will understand the problem that we are facing with the red sander smuggling and smugglers. Around 50, 000 crore worth red sander was smuggled during last few years. Many forest officers were killed by the smugglers. I would like to ask the Congress and the YSR Congress parties why they are making hue and cry now when they remain silent then. They both are criticizing the state government that is trying to protect the precious red sanders. They are criticizing the police and forest department officials instead of appreciating them, who boldly faced the red sander smugglers putting their lives at stake. Opposition parties should realize that the red sander trees need to be preserved for the sake of the state and its people.”

AP Forest Minister Bojjala Gopla Krishna Reddy also strongly reacted to the opposition parties’ criticism on this matter. He said “Opposition parties should know that whoever comes to Seshachalam forests have not come to cut the grass. They come to cut down our precious red sander trees. Hence, it becomes our government’s duty to protect our precious red sander trees from them. We should not be expected to sit and watch while they are cutting our red sander tress. We will not spare anyone whether they are small time smugglers or political leaders. We will nab everyone, including the parties and politicians indulged in this smuggling business. We are making arrangements to transport the bodies of the smugglers to the Tamilnadu state.”
