Only Rs.4 crore realized in TDP welfare fund

Nara Lokesh, who is convener or TDP worker’s welfare fund, has submitted a report detailing about the funds collected and his activities during last 10 months. In his report, he mentioned that only Rs.4 crore was realized whereas Rs. 14 crores was promised by the TDP leaders of both states.
Out of 14,300 party workers sought party assistance for their children’s education and marriages, 9, 300 were provided assistance by the party from the welfare fund. As promised during membership drive, all the registered members of the party were provided accident insurance cover by the party. Nara Lokesh submits that he interacts with nearly 50, 000 party workers during last 10 months and noted down their valuable suggestions and complaints which were scrutinized and forwarded to the party high command for its consideration.
An amount of Rs.2 lakh compensation was paid to each family of the 54 party workers’, who died in the accidents or due to illness. Still, 480 families need to be provided financial assistance in the similar cases. TDP has been occasionally conducting job-melas in the TDP Trust Bhavan in which 465 youth got employment in different companies. The call-center arranged in the party head office has received total 86, 000 calls and TDP has been providing necessary assistance to the party workers, mentioned in the report submitted by Nara Lokesh.
