Political rivalry fuels Sivakarthikeyan vs Thalapathy Vijay clash
on Mar 25, 2025
Thalapathy Vijay has announced that he will acting in onne last film before completely shifting his focus to Politics. He started huge public meetings for his party TVK and started finishing his commitment for Jana Nayagan, his final film. He will finish shooting for the film by August and then will be campaigning, it seems.
Now, the makers have announced Jana Nayagan release date for 9th January 2026, Pongal. On the other hand, Dawn Pictures have announced Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi release for Pongal. The producer has officially confirmed this. Vijay fans started abusing Sivakarthikeyan and producer for clashing with their idol's swan song.
Several reports suggest that DMK, the ruling party, is behind Dawn Pictures and they have encouraged this clash further. Few suggest that Dawn Pictures have announced release timing while starting the shoot itself and hence, Vijay came for clash not viceversa.
Majorly, reports suggest that Sivakarthikeyan normally doesn't want to clash with big stars but he even doesn't want to lose Pongal advantage. He believes two big films can survive during Pongal festival and hence, he has asked his close circles to see it as coming together for festival than a clash.
Vijay, on the other hand, wants to use these tactics as advantage to promote his political agenda, stating that big parties fear him and his presence. Well, the political rivalry between DMK and TVK is the major fuel for this Sivakarthikeyan vs Vijay clash at the box office, say observers.
But Vijay fans are upset that when their idol himself nominated him as his successor, why is Sivakarthikeyan looking to clash with him. While Ajith and Rajinikanth fans are happy that a solo Pongal release would not be possible for Vijay. Interesting times, ahead, we have to say.
