Ilaiyaraaja biopic won't be dropped but delayed

Ilaiyaraaja, the master composer and legend of Indian Cinema, has announced that his biopic will be made on a lavish canvas. Dhanush has been chosen by the master himself to play him on the big screen. Kamal Haasan wished the team all the success at the announcement press event.
Arun Matheswaran is directing the film and he is busy writing the script. Ilaiyaraaja has reportedly asked the director to travel with him for at least an year to be able to convert it into a script. In the meantime, reports suggested that the production company is not that trustworthy for Dhanush and hence, the project could be dropped.
But now, the latest reports suggest that the actor has been busy in finalising new producers and there is a chance, he could also join as one among them. For now, the project is still on and it is just delayed but not shelved. Soon, the official announcement about commencement of shoot will be released by Dhanush himself, it seems.
