High Court exempts Pushpa 2 producers, what about Allu Arjun?

on Jan 2, 2025

Telangana High Court has exempted Pushpa 2 The Rule producers from being treated as criminals and getting arrested. The court has directed police to not arrest Mythri Movie Makers producers - Yelamanchali Ravi Shankar and Naveen, as accused for Pushpa 2 stampede at Sandhya Theatre on premiere night.

Producers have moved to court with a petition to be exempted from arresting and even being named as culprits for the incident. Their lawyer argued in court that producers have informed police before-hand and hence, they did not plan to cause any sort of ruckus during premiere at the theatre premises.

They have also stated that they cannot be blamed for law and order issue at the theatre as they took necessary precautions like informing police beforehand and hence, they should not be arrested. Court gave directions to police to not arrest them and also asked them to file a counter petition in two weeks in this case with proper accusations.

Well, Allu Arjun has been arrested and sessions court did send him into police custody. While the actor got interim bail, the case for regular bail and quashing the FIR against him, still remains. Will he also get some sort of exemption? We have to wait and see.
