Salman Khan in tears at Prayer meet

A prayer meet was held on Sunday of Rajshri Media MD and CEO Rajjat Barjatya, who passed away on Friday (July 29) at a hospital in Mumbai after losing his life to a prolonged battle with cancer. A host of Bollywood celebrities have attended the meet to pay their respect for him. Salman Khan also was there and he broke down on meeting the family at the prayer meet. Cousin of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, Rajjat had cancer and was admitted to Jaslok Hospital for the last few days. Salman’s relationship with the Barjatyas go back a longtime. The actor got his big break in Maine Pyar Kiya which was directed by Sooraj and produced by Barjatyas. Rajjat was Salman’s very close friend.

Salman has given some hits films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath-Saath Hain, which were produced by the Rajshri Productions. Rajjat was one of the brilliant brains of the industry. Other than Salman, Boman Irani, Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Swapnil Joshi, Richa Chadda shared their grief on Twitter. Rajjat is survived by wife and two children. Rajshri Productions was founded by Sooraj and Rajjat’s grandfather Tarachand Barjatya. This sudden demise has left the B-town shocked and sad.
