Prabhas to stand by the word he gave to fans

on Jan 29, 2025

Prabhas, the biggest star of Indian Cinema, is currently shooting for Fauji, while he is also finishing The Raja Saab. After these two, he has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit and Kalki 2. Reports suggest that he has plans to complete shoot of these films so that he can have two releases per year in 2025 and 2026.

While The Raja Saab has been planned earlier for April release, the makers have now decided to go for later date. Possibly, around June and on the other hand, the actor has plans to release Fauji, tentatively titled, by October or December, at the earliest. He doesn't want the movie to go into 2026.

He will join from July or August of this year Spirit sets and the movie pre-production is going on. And he even informed Kalki 2 makers that he would be only available from October or November, but he is confident that Kalki 2 can release by December 2026.

While he did promise to his fans that he will try to bring 2 films every year, he could do that only in 2023, when Adipurush and Salaar released in same year. In 2024, he had only one release, Kalki 2898 AD. To make sure that Fauji, can release this year, he has asked director Hanu Raghavapudi to shoot simultaneously different scenes.

Accordingly, some reports suggest that he is working in Ramoji Film City on one day and then another set in Aluminium Factory on another day for the film. Even the patch work for The Raja Saab will be completed in February while he has plans to complete shoot of Fauji by May or June.

As he understood VFX work can take time and result in delays, he had asked Spirit and Kalki 2 makers to plan the post production well in advance to meet the plans. After these 4 films, he will honor the commitment to Hombale Films to act in three films and his diary is full till 2030, say close sources.
