Director Krishna Vamsi has only delivered flops with his last few films. He roped in ensemble cast for Nakshatram such as Sundeep Kishan, Sai Dharam Tej etc. Let's see whether the film will provide break for KV or not...
Story:
A young guy Rama Rao (Sundeep Kishan) aspires to become a police officer, since his forefathers sacrificed their lives for the department. He applies for SI post, but he was stopped from writing the examination by Commissioner (Prakash Raj) son (Tanish) who is drug addict and has links with mafia. Rama Rao wants to commit suicide, but few things stop him doing so. Then, he wears a sincere cop Alexander's uniform and catches a drug and guns dealer. However, the dealer escapes from the place and plans something big to kill police officials in the city with help of a person. Who's the person? What's their motive? Who's Alexander? Will Rama Rao ever become Police Officer?

Analysis:
Director Krishna Vamsi opted to an old story and he didn't even tried to narrate it in engaging manner. Their were no 'wow' moments we expect from the director. Movie starts in Sundeep Kishan's point of view. He has a valid reason for becoming a police officer. He is always seen making rounds surrounding police station as he has good affiliation with police officials in the town. Then, Tanish is introduced as an egoistic and spoilt young lad. A small fight between Sundeep and Tanish costs big to Sundeep who loses the opportunity to become a cop. Until the first half, the film hardly has any mesmerizing sequences. Then, in the second half, Sai Dharam Tej character is introduced as strict cop Alexander. He is appointed as a head to a mission to eliminate mafia and criminals in the city. Though the introduction scene of SDT making a girl to kill the guys who raped her was striking, we don't find such sequences later. As the movie progresses we lose our patience due to bad writing and pathetic making from Krishna Vamsi. Even, climax wasn't awe-inspiring.
Artists Performances:
Usually, Krishna Vamsi has the ability of bringing exceptional performances from his artists. Likewise, all the lead actors in the film have given their best, but sometimes few overacted. Sundeep Kishan steals the show in first half as story runs around the character of Rama Rao. Sundeep gave full justice to the character. Seems like, he gave everything to essay the character. He worked hard on fights as well. Sai Dharam Tej is good in the role of sincere cop Alexander. Pragya Jaiswal and Regina Cassandra provided glamour in the songs. Prakash Raj is at usual best. Tanish was okay in a role with negative shades. Other artists were decent.
Technical Aspect:
Director Krishna Vamsi might have stuck himself in 90's. Neither the story was exceptional, nor the screenplay was engaging. Even dialogues weren't thought-provoking. KV indeed botched in all departments he took care of. The music batch of Bheems Ceciroleo, Bharat Madhusudhan, Hari Gowra and Manisharma ha sgiven decent music and BGM was middling. Editing by Siva Prasad is biggest drwaback. We get a doubt that whether the film has any editor. Production values of Sri Chakra Media were just okay.
Verdict:
Don't dare to watch the film. It will give you headache at the cost of your ticket money:
