Teluguone Wishes Hero Srikanth A Very Happy B
on Mar 22, 2014
Hero Srikanth who turns 45 this year is a happy and contended man. With over 24 years in the Telugu film industry and around 120 films completed, he has been the quintessential actor with no godfather and no filmy family background to back him. A degree from Dharwad and a diploma from Vizag and faith and hope in his heart he came to Chennai to become a Hero and became one. And all this was achieved through sheer hard work, faith in his skill and a good demeanor which has brought him accolades and respect in the Industry and also two Nandis and a Filmfare award to his credit.
Starting with a miniscule role in Usha Kiran Movies “People’s Encounter” and with a real entry in “Madhura Nagarilo” , he went on to do a few character and villain roles and got his first solo hit with “Taj Mahal” and stardom with Raghavendra Rao’s “Pelli Sandadi.” What followed was a successful track of hits and in between flops and then a phase where he had to put in his own money to sell his films. Without being bogged down by flops an fate he reinvented himself with Khadgam ,Operation Duryodhana and Mahatma and stabilized his career as a bankable star.
Another feature is that he has acted under all directors including Kodi RamaKrishna, Raghavendra Rao, EVV Satyanarayana, Bapu,K Viswanath,Krishan Vamsi, SV Krishna Reddy and also giving an opportunity to debutant directors.
Not to be swayed by stardom and he went on to do a few lead side roles along with his favourite idol Chiranjeevi in “Shankardada MBBS” and other films like “Shadow, Veta” etc. His maturity to not take everything that comes and accept good roles which is very important to sustain in the industry, is to be taken as an example by young actors who get carried away by stardom. He has also come forward to express his solidarity and support to others especially when Uday KIran tragically passed away.
Shy by nature and reserved with his words we get to see him on and off in reality shows and promos of his films where he speaks about the work done and is back home where he spends time with his beautiful actress wife Ooha whom he courted during the filming of Tammareddy Bhardwaj’s Aaame and his happy brood of 3 children Rohan, Roshan and Medha.
