Emo Gurram Egaravachchu Movie telugu Review:
Sumanth is coming back after a string of flops and has come forward after a long time for a family entertainer with message oriented director Chandra Siddhartha. Let’s check out the review to see whetherhe has succeeded in this attempt!
Story:
Bullabbayi (Sumanth) is seen in the role of typical village guy who has failed in his education. But he has a kind heart and is regardedas a nice man. Sumnath has a strong love towards Neelaveni (Pinky) from childhood. Pinky lives abroad and she comes once for a visit during which time her elders plan wedding for her. She refuses many alliances and finally selects Bullabbayi but there is also a plan behind this. What is the plan and how this unfolds forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
For an acclaimed director like Chandra Siddhartha, it is surprising to see that there is lack of an emotional connection between the film which unfolds onscreen and the audience. The scene lack depth and also the choice of artists for few scenes don’t look apt. The film is also lacking strong screenplay which could have compensated for the above. The production values seem to be fine butit was surprising to see Chandra Siddhartha choosing inexperienced actors for roles like that of heroine’s father and some of the other key roles.Chandra Siddhartha’s films are known for driving depth and an emotional peak but in the films the scenes appear to be following a come and go pattern without depth. This lack is visible in many scenes which also brought down the overall energy levels. The film begins on a refreshing note with light humour and strong nativity favor but dips when it is expected to actually take off. The first half was ok but the second half was a complete dampener.
key roles:

Teluguone perspective:
These days’ audiences seek good entertainment and energy levels in a film and also overlook story if they can find the above. In order to achieve this, the director should also focus on ample energy quotient, The idea behind the story is good but this failed in terms of proper execution and as a result the eventual objective of what director wanted to convey has been lost. For storylines that are simple, there has to be a strong emotional quotient which seems to be missing completely. The film can be rated as a clean family entertainer but there are many gaps which has failed this objective. The movie definitely tests the patience of a modern movie goer.
Performances:
Sumanth was effervescent with good energy and expressions. His performance has been really good and it also shows his hard work to get into the skin of the role. The film can prove his critics that he hasn’t failed as an actor. Pinky Sawika is a Thai girl who is definitely a surprise in this film. She has fitted well with her desi looks. Her expressions levels and her confident persona in front of the camera deserve praise. Tagubothu Ramesh delivered good humor and that too without getting drunk, for the first time. Harshavardhan did justice to his role while Rakha was apt. There was no much scope for other actors. Asmitha has proved her bankability to take up big character roles.
Technicalities:
On the lyrics and music front, the film has done well. With the right blend of lyrics, music and rendition, the songs have come out well. The manner in which the songs have been shot indicates the nice production values of this film.
Plus:
Good Music and songs
Nice lyrics
Storyline
Good performance by lead actors
Minus:
Lack of emotional quotient
No strong screenplay
Lack of entertainment factor
Final Word: Good concept but could have been executed better.
Teluguone Rating: 2.25
