Mini Biography :
Konidela Pawan Kalyan (Kalyan Babu) grew up watching his die hard fan Amitabh Bachchan movies. He entered in wedlock with Nandini in 1999. Nearly a decade after, Pawan Kalyan married Renu Desai, who played female lead with him in Badri and Johhny movies. But his ex-wife Nandini publicity came out saying Pawan Kalyan married Renu Desai without divorcing her. Pawan Kalyan later sorted out these issues legally and he is blessed with two children – Akira Nandan and Aadhya
Dubbed as a media shy personality, Konidela Pawan Kalyan (Kalyan Babu) is sober man and always tries to maintain a very reserve personality, whilst being belligerent in his profession.
Pawan Kalyan made his debut in 1996 with Akkada Abbai Ikkada Ammayi movie, directed by Late EVV Satyanarayana, and the movie was an average outing. Gokulamlo Seetha (1997) and Suswagatham (1998) were very successful movie, but still Pawan Kalyan was living under his brother Chiranjeevi’s umbrella.
Tholi Prema (1998), Thammudu (1999), Badri (2000), Khushi (2001) were also sensational hits and all these movies has sent the previous box office records tumbling. By this time, Power Star Pawan Kalyan is arguably the biggest star in Tollywood industry (after his brother Chiranjeevi).
Known for his creative acumen, Pawan Kalyan stepped into direction with his directorial debut Johnny (2003). The movie was a disaster and has forced Pawan Kalyan to come out of direction. His subsequent movies Gudumba Shankar (2004), Balu ABCDEFG (2005), Bangaram and Annavaram (2006) failed to bring Pawan Kalyan’s magic.
In 2008, Pawan Kalyan threw his weight behind Jalsa, a romantic and action movie that saw the return of the Power Star. Jalsa scripted box office history in terms of collections and has given a new hope for his entire fan base. Nearly after 2 years, the musch awaited movie Komaram Puli was released and as by far the biggest debacle in Pawan Kalyan’s career.
Currently, Pawan Kalyan has signed three films – He is acting in an untitled Telugu movie, which is a Bollywood remake of Love Aaj Kal. Also, Pawan Kalyan is doing Gabbar Singh, another remake of Hindi movie Dabangg and he is also announcing another movie with Tamil director Vishnuvardhan.
