New Jersey: American Telugu Association (ATA) expressed grief over the massive fire accident in Avenel, New Jersey in which an Apartment building was completely burnt to ashes on Wednesday.
ATA trustees Balwant Reddy, Srinivas Zilla and other representatives visited the fire accident site after informed of the accident and consoled the Telugu families who lost everything in the accident. More than 90% of the affected 52 families are of Telugu origin. Damage in the accident is believed to be very extensive and cause of the fire is unknown and still being investigated. Fortunately, everybody living in the apartment building complex has been evacuated safely. Unfortunately, they have lost all of their belongings including furniture, gold, clothes and documents like passports, visas, vehicle registration certificates etc.
ATA team under the leadership of Balwant Reddy and Suresh Zilla immediately swung into action and has taken up relief and rehabilitation of the displaced Telugu families. Balwant Reddy assured the effected families all kinds of help from ATA.
