Ghazal Singers Srinivas, Gulam Ali Duo's Tribute to Jagjit Singh

Hyderabad: Urdu Ghazal king Ghulam Ali and Telugu Ghazal Maestro Dr Ghazal Srinivas jointly presented a Tribute to Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh in Hyderabad. It was a rare combination of seeing two renowned Ghazal singers sharing dais and paying tribute to Late Jagjit Singh jI. Both the Ghazal singers paid their respects to Jagjit Singh ji by singing heart-touching Ghazals at Ravindra Bharathi premises as they recollected their association with Late Jagjit Singh Ji.
At this concert with Ghulam Ali, Dr Ghazal Srinvas presented him with his audio album "Shanthi Yatra" which was released in 2005 during his 1538 km peace walk from Delhi to Multan (Pakistan) which was dedicated to Indo-Pakistan peace and friendship. Janaab Ghulam Ali appreciated Dr Ghazal Srinivas for his selfless efforts for the world peace. They have discussed about the need of a "Ghazal Academy" in India, particularly in Hyderabad. Later both of them visited Ustad Badey Ghulam Ali saab Tomb at Moghalpura, Hyderabad and paid their respects to the legendary musician. This event was organized by AP state cultural council headed by Sri RV Ramana Murthy.
