NIA officer’s wife too succumbs

Farzana Khatoon, wife of NIA officer Tanzil Ahmad has also succumbed to the bullet injuries. Both Farzana and Tanzil were shot on their way back from a wedding on the night of April 2. Tanzil was dead on the same day while Farzana fought with the injuries for 9 long days. Though she was initially thought to be out of danger, a bullet that has pierced her intestines seems to have resulted in death. As Tanzil was among the team that’s probing the Pathankot attacks, police thought that the attack is perpetrated by the terrorists. But a detailed investigation has pointed out a domestic dispute to be the motive behind the murder. The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested two alleged killers including Tanzil’s Brother-in-law relating to the assault.
