Maoists attack and kill 6 soldiers

 

 

 

The Maoists have attacked and killed 20 CRPF personnel  in Sompal , Sukuma district in Chattisgarh. The Maoists triggered a landmine blast and opened fire on the soldiers killing three of them and injuring others This is the third attack after the one in February 28th where Maoists ambushed a team of security personnel in tribal Bastar region killing seven security personnel including a sub-inspector near Kuakonda in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. The other one was in February 9th where two CRPF officials, including a deputy commandant, were killed and 12 security personnel were injured in a landmine blast triggered by Naxals in the in a forest near Bodhrajpadar village under Bhejji police station limits, in the same Sukma district of Chattisgarh .


Two helicopters have been sent from Raipur and  Jagadalpur to the site and the injured are expected to be  shifted to the local Sompal hospital.More casualties are expected.
