Chennai Express Train Robbery in Guntur

Robbers attacked and robbed passengers of the Hyderabad bound Chennai Express at Nadikudi railway station near Guntur on Thursday morning early hours. As per the railway police officials they pulled the chain of the train between Nadukudi and Damcherla stations at around 1:30 in the morning and stopped the train. They targeted women passengers sitting near the windows an snatched their chains and once the other passengers heard their hue and cries they fled in to the bushes under the cover of darkness. The police are suspecting the role of Stewartpuram dacoits who had robbed the same train in April 2014 where the same modus operandi was used to rob the passengers near Piduguralla station near Guntur.The police are said to be investigating the same.
