CBI JD Call List: CVC Seeks Report From VV Laxminarayana

Chief Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar has sought a comprehensive report from CBI JD VV Laxminarayana about his controversial call list episode. Some time ago the YSR Congress Party has alleged that JD Laxminarayana, who is heading the investigation team probing Jagan Mohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case, is leaking case related information to 'select media'.

To substantiate its allegations, YSRCP made public the call list of Laxminarayana in which he was shown as making number of calls to reporters of two select media channels and a lady acquaintance - Ms. Vasireddy Chandrabala - who in turn, made many a number of calls to one particular person who owns a newspaper and a TV channel. This all led to the suspicion of YSRCP that their leader is being harassed by the CBI and JD's behaviour isn't impartial in investigating the case. During her recent visit to the capital, YSRCP honorary president and Jagan's mother YS Vijayamma complained to the CVC about JD's style of conducting the case and leaking case related information. Responding to the cpomplaint, the CVC has sought report from the CBI JD.
