President Poll: Jagan to Decide YSR Congress Stand

YSR Congress Party on Friday formally authorised party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to decide on the stand the Party should adopt in the Presidential elections scheduled for July 19.

 

“Both the Presidential candidates have approached us and the we have unanimously adopted a resolution authorising Jaganmohan Reddy to take a decision in this regard,” Party political affairs committee member Konathala Ramakrishna told reporters after the extended state council meeting.

 



The meeting has adopted 10 resolutions which includes, highlighting the failure of State government in addressing the problems of farmers, growing attacks on Dalits, diluting welfare schemes introduced by YSR besides demanding a judicial inquiry into the conduct of CBI which is working in tandem with the YSR’s political and business rivals. The meeting also adopted resolutions condemning the attitude of the State Government on welfare of weavers, minorities, fishermen, tribals and poor power supply to farmers.



The second Praja Prassthanam, to be held on July 8 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy will be observed by the cadre to highlight the problems of farmers and the callous attitude of the State Government in responding to the basic needs of the farmers who are in distress.
