Chewing on whole grains also keeps you warm as more amount of energy is used up to break them down and so, more energy is produced. Spices are known to boost the metabolism. Especially ginger is effective in keeping you warm by increasing blood circulation to toes and keeping them cozy Lastly, staying hydrated is also very important. During winter we lose water in many ways, to compensate this loss drinking more of water is very essential!
