Jagan staging dharna at Vijayawada today

YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy will be staging dharna near CRDA Office at Lenin Centre in Vijayawada from 10 am to evening 4 pm today in protest against statement government’s plans to take lands from farmers of Vundavalli, Penumaka, Bethapudi and some river front villages using Land Acquisition Act.

Statement government is planning to collect the balance 2700 acres of land left in the capital city zone before starting construction activities. It is forced to apply Land Acquisition Act against the farmers of those few villages who are unwilling to give their lands under land pooling system.

Hence, Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders are staging a dharna in protest against its decision. Jagan vows to fight with government on behalf of farmers until it revokes its decision. Janasena president Pawan Kalyan also strongly objected using Land Acquisition Act on farmers. He suggested the government to constitute an experts committee to resolve this issue amicably.
