Indeed it is a pleasant surprise to the AP and the Telangana states that are indulged in a high voltage fight over sharing of power. The Center has distributed total 693 mw power to the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala states that was returned to it by the Delhi government recently. It allots 304 mw power supply to the AP, 222 mw to the Telangana and 167 mw power supply to the Kerala state. Union Minister for Energy Piyush Goyal wrote a letter to the power grid authority to release this power supply to the three states starting from 1st April 2015 till March next year.
Chandrababu Naidu has resolved the power crisis within 3-4 months after assuming charge as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, but the Telangana state is still reeling under power crisis. However, there was lot of improvement seen during last few weeks due to several measures taken by the Telangana government. This unexpected additional power supply just ahead of the peak summer session would be a blessing for the both states.
