Know your teen

Its universally agreed fact that,the most challenging process in child upbringing process is to bring them up in teenage. It is a transforming stage for kid and parents as well because kid will be trying to feel as grown up where as parents need to put their foot down and try to be friendly with their kids.
To sail through this stage smoothly, here are few steps to help  parents of every teenager.

Be honest and direct with your teen when talking about sensitive subjects such as choosing their friends circle and life style habbits and changes.

Make out time to meet your teen’s friends often and get to know.

Show an interest in your teen’s school life by checking their curricular and extracurricular activities in school.

Help your teen make healthy choices while encouraging them to make their own decisions.

Respect your teen’s opinions and take into account her/his thoughts and feelings. It is important that she/he knows you are listening to her.

When there is a conflict, first become a listener to know their feelings then be clear about goals and expectations (like getting good grades, and showing respect to elders, good manners, personal hygiene etc), but allow your teen input on how to reach those goals then support them to reach their goals.
