Vetrimaaran trims Vidhuthalai 2 before release

Vetrimaaran has become one of the most sought after directors in Indian Cinema. Based in Tamil language, he has created a name for himself all over. His films like Aadukalam, Visaranai, Vada Chennai, Asuran garnered great critical acclaim and box office success.
His previous film, Viduthalai Part 1 became a huge blockbuster and he announced part-2, at the end of the film. Now, the movie Viduthalai Part-2 is releasing on 20th December. Before release, Vetrimaaran announced in a special video that the movie is trimmed by 8 minutes before release.
Unlike the films that have been forced to trim post release, like in the case of Kanguva, Vetrimaaran wanted to trim it before the release itself. He stated that the entire team wanted to make the film to the best of their capacities and they did it.
He stated that he doesn't know how much people will appreciate the film post release but he is happy with the process. Vijay Sethupathy, Manju Warrier, Soori, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon are playing important characters in the film while Ilaiyaraaja scored music.
