The maverick director SS Rajamouli reigns as the highest-paid, earning over Rs 150 crore for a film. Notable names joining him in the top place include Tamil filmmakers Shankar and Atlee, Bollywood stalwarts Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Raj Kumar Hirani, as well as Telugu director Sukumar, commanding impressive salaries ranging from Rs 50 to 100 crore.

However, the most recent addition to this league is Sandeep Reddy Vanga, propelled by the massive success of his film "Animal." Vanga, along with his brother, received a staggering payment of Rs 200 crore for their involvement in the film's production.

This newfound success catapulted Vanga's earnings to potentially exceed Rs 125 crore, establishing him as a significant player in the industry. Looking ahead, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to direct "Spirit," a crime drama featuring the renowned actor Prabhas in the lead role of a cop.

With the backdrop of the colossal triumph of "Animal" and Prabhas' esteemed stature in Indian cinema, the collaboration between Vanga and Prabhas is anticipated to be a blockbuster across theaters, digital platforms, and OTT services, further solidifying Vanga's position among the top-tier directors in the Indian film industry.
