South Films Domination in IMDb Top 10 movies list

Needless to say, the global box office market for Indian films has expanded significantly since the Bahabali franchise. Following that, the KGF Franchise and RRR films introduced India to the diversity of South cinema.

Competing with Hollywood films at the global box office demonstrates how the international craze for Indian films has grown. It is noteworthy that the majority of films released following the lockdown are from South India, which has the highest success rate.

This is once again demonstrated by the most recent IMDb (Internet Movie Database)-2022 Top 10 (IMDb 2022) list. It is remarkable that the southern films have once again shown their range in the IMDb rating. RRR, The Kashmir Files, KGF Chapter 2, Vikram, Kantara, Rocketry, Major, Sita Ramam, Ponniyan Selvan-1, 777 Charlie have made it to the recently released IMDb top 10 list (in order).

According to the IMDb list, there are three Telugu films, three Tamil films and three Kannada films, while The Kashmir Files is the only one from the Bollywood industry. That means if there are nine from the south, only one from the north. If you look at the latest rating, you will know how South (regional cinema) movies have affected Bollywood, which claims to be the biggest industry.
